The Initiative Cycleride is a private and non-profit initiative by byciclists for a practicable cycling policy in Germany. The primary concerns are more safety, tolerance and sympathy for cyclists.

In 2007 the IC have become known with their petition against the obligation to use bicycle lanes (German: "Petition gegen die Radwegebenutzungspflicht").

They got also media interest for their campaign "Pannenflicken des Jahres". It is a yearly award for notable bad bicycle lanes in German locations.
