Track Stand

A Track stand is a technique to hold balance on a Fixed-gear bicycle while only moving minimal distances. In practice you can e.g. hold at a red traffic light without putting the feet down. Quite often seen in Critical Mass rides (example).

A track stand can also be accomplished with a freewheel bike. Since freewheels can't back peddle an incline is used to produce the backward motion.
